About Epstein Gaming

Who We Are

Epstein Gaming is a UK-based gaming business specialising in refurbished, used and modified games consoles.

We started with a simple idea: to give older gaming hardware a second life and make it possible for people to enjoy consoles they remember and love without having to pay a premium for brand-new hardware.

From restoring everyday consoles to bringing older or faulty machines back into working order, we enjoy the process of finding, repairing, cleaning and testing gaming hardware.

We also specialise in modified consoles, including RGH-modified Xbox 360 systems, offering customers a ready-to-use setup with the modifications clearly explained in each product listing.

Whether you're replacing a console from your childhood, looking for an affordable way to get back into retro gaming, or simply want something a little different, our aim is to provide reliable products at a fair price.

Our Refurbishment & Testing Process

We don't simply switch a console on and put it straight up for sale.

Every console we sell goes through a testing and preparation process before it leaves us. The exact checks can vary depending on the console, but typically include:

Full power-on and stability testing
We test consoles for reliable operation and look for problems such as overheating, freezing, shutdowns and other hardware faults.

Disc drive testing
Where applicable, disc drives are tested for reading games and other discs, loading correctly and ejecting properly.

HDMI and AV testing
Video and audio outputs are checked to make sure the console produces a stable picture and sound.

USB and controller port testing
Ports are tested to ensure controllers and compatible accessories can be connected and used correctly.

Cleaning and maintenance
Consoles are cleaned internally and externally as appropriate. Thermal paste may also be replaced where necessary as part of refurbishment.

Cosmetic inspection
Each console is inspected for scratches, marks, cracks, discolouration and other signs of previous use. Relevant cosmetic condition is reflected in the product listing.

Final testing before dispatch
Once refurbishment and any required repairs are complete, the console is tested again before it is packaged and sent to its new owner.

Refurbished, Not Perfect

Most of the consoles we sell have had a previous life.

That means a refurbished console may have some signs of previous use, and we don't try to hide that. We believe customers should know exactly what they are buying, so we aim to accurately describe the condition of each console and provide photographs wherever appropriate.

Our goal isn't to make a used console look brand new. It's to make sure it is properly tested, clean, functional and ready to be enjoyed again.

Modified Consoles

We also offer consoles that have been modified, including RGH Xbox 360 systems.

Modifications are carried out before sale and the relevant modifications are explained in the individual product listing. Modified consoles are tested to ensure the advertised functionality is working before dispatch.

Because modified consoles differ from standard manufacturer configurations, we encourage customers to read the individual product description carefully before purchasing.

Our Approach

We're gamers ourselves, so we understand that buying a used console comes down to trust.

We want you to know what you're getting, how it has been tested and what condition it's in before you place an order.

That's why we focus on honest listings, thorough testing and proper preparation, rather than simply selling consoles as quickly as possible.

Every console we refurbish is another piece of gaming hardware that gets a chance to be enjoyed again.

Thank You for Supporting Epstein Gaming

Whether you've purchased a console from us, found us through YouTube or social media, or are simply checking out what we do, thank you for supporting our small UK gaming business.

We're constantly working on new refurbishments, repairs and gaming projects, so there's always something new happening at Epstein Gaming.

Epstein Gaming — giving gaming hardware a second life.

We never ship a console that hasn't passed every one of these checks. No exceptions.

Condition Grades & What to Expect

We use clear condition grades so you always know what you're getting:

  • Excellent — Minimal cosmetic wear, fully functional. Looks and performs like near-new.
  • Good — Light signs of use, fully functional. A solid, reliable console at a great price.
  • Fair — Noticeable cosmetic wear but tested and working. Ideal if you just want to play.

Each listing will clearly state the condition grade, so there are no surprises when it arrives.

Our Warranty

We stand behind our consoles. Every refurbished Xbox 360 sold by Epstein Gaming comes with a 30-day warranty covering hardware faults. If your console develops a fault within 30 days of delivery through normal use, get in touch and we'll repair, replace, or refund — whichever is most appropriate.

Our warranty does not cover physical damage caused after delivery or faults resulting from modification attempts by the buyer.

RGH & Modded Consoles — What You Need to Know

We also offer Xbox 360 consoles with RGH (Reset Glitch Hack) modifications pre-installed. RGH is a hardware-level exploit that allows the console to run unsigned code — including homebrew, emulators, custom dashboards like Aurora, and more.

Here's what comes with an RGH console from us:

  • Tested and stable RGH installation — we verify the glitch chip is properly installed and the console boots reliably.
  • Custom dashboard pre-configured — ready to use straight out of the box.
  • Full hardware testing — same multi-point check as all our refurbished units.

Please note: RGH consoles are intended for homebrew and personal use with content you own. We recommend familiarising yourself with the relevant laws in your region regarding modified hardware.
